Firefox 5.0 has been released June 21, 2011,it is available for download.
The latest version of Firefox has the following changes:
- Added support for CSS animations
- The Do-Not-Track header preference has been moved to increase discoverability
- Tuned HTTP idle connection logic for increased performance
- Improved canvas, JavaScript, memory, and networking performance
- Improved standards support for HTML5, XHR, MathML, SMIL, and canvas
- Improved spell checking for some locales
- Improved desktop environment integration for Linux users
- WebGL content can no longer load cross-domain textures
- Background tabs have setTimeout and setInterval clamped to 1000ms to improve performance
- Fixed several stability issues
- Fixed several security issues

Firefox updated to 10.0.2 and now it doesn’t even load the program anymore
5 Yrs and running with mozilla alternatives. Kudos.
I am so frustrated I have downloaded a Firefox upgrade..it is unstable…freezes all the time…I want to have my 5.0 back and can not seem to do so. This version was very good and did not have as many issues. I have bragged you up to everyone and suggested them to use Firefox…now I feel I have betrayed them if they choose to download a newer version. They still will be safe if they download 5.0.

Please disable auto update after your installation an older version,or else it will upgrade to the latest version automatically.

The most fantastic browser around, full of features, and it keeps getting better and better.Addons is the most fantastic feature with some so great addons and i have been so used of them that i can’t browse now without them. Firefox grows on you.

And now it is beta one,so I am still using firefox 4.0
